FAQ's

How do people dress at this church?

Most people are dressed in ‘casual Friday’ attire. Many wear jeans and tennis shoes. Christmas and Easter are probably slightly dressier.

What is worship like?

Both times of worship are similar in being casual and having the same message from the Pastor. At 9:00am the music will be more current, like what you hear on 91.5FM WCIC. At 11:00am the music will be hymns played on the organ and there will be a bit more liturgy.

What if I want to transfer my membership from another church (United Methodist or another denomination)?

Contact the Church Office and provide the name and address for your previous church.

What if I want to become a Member?

If you have not been invited to be part of a membership class, please talk to the Pastor about membership.

What if I’ve never been to church before or in a really long time?

It will probably be a little strange. Worship services have patterns of sitting and standing, speaking aloud and praying quietly, but there will be a program for you to follow and spoken instructions for most of the movements of the service. Churches all have distinct rituals that are different from other arenas of our lives. But we will do our best to help everyone navigate the service together.

What if I don’t believe in Jesus?

That’s okay as long as you realize that those within the church do and want you to believe too.
